In the 1890-91 season, Everton were crowned champions of the Football League for the first time, beating 2 time defending champions, Preston North End. Although Everton are now known and recognised for their Blue kits, their home colours during the 1890 - 91 season were salmon pink. They didn't wear a fully royal blue kit until 1901.
